What's the story?

Joy "Mama Joy" Chauke, one of the most recognisable sports fans in the country, dismissed any rumours of a break down in her and MaMkhize's relationship.

A football blog on Twitter/X speculated that Mama Joy hasn't been paid in months by her employers at Royal AM, resulting in the former Orlando Pirates supporter responding in a series of posts.

Mama Joy dispels MaMkhize rumours 

Mama Joy was quick to shut down some fake news on social media this week, responding to rumours of her being mistreated by MaMkhize and Royal AM.

A Twitter/X page, @Rushsportson, wrote that "Mama Joy Chauke hasn't been paid for 8 months by Royal AM Boss Shauwn Mkhize. MaMkhize & Mama Joy's relationship is close to an end." 

The popular super fan swiftly responded with three images, one showing her with Royal AM officials, another showing her in the stands in Thwihli Thwahla's KZN friendly against Golden Arrows and another being a screenshot of a flight ticket from Johannesburg to Durban.
